I was raised in a family of twelve (mom,dad, 6 boys & 4 girls, 1 set of triplets in the middle). Raised in a christian family, I grew to love the Lord. After being divorced from my second marriage and my ex keeping my 3 girls and son, I became despondent and suicidal.
In 1995 I was really depressed and suicidal. I was into gambling in casinos, lotteries, and bingos. I'm a USAF DAV. I'd had a total breakdown in the service.
I was living in my ex-wifes van, get off at 5:30 am drive to her house, crawl in the back seat to sleep. My kids would know on the van and tell me to go sleep in their bed while they were in school.
I'd worked a night time security job for a car lot along the freeway in Vidor, Texas. I'd get off and sleep till 9 am and then head to Louisianna to the casinos.
One Saturday night while on guard duty, I was thinking about how I was ruining my life and hurting my Kids. I fell on my knees and ask Jesus to take my life or remove the devil from me.
The spit second I said AMEN a white stretch lemousine was heading west on the freeway and their left rear wheel came off. 2 men and 2 ladies got out. I let the men use the van to find their wheel and the ladies used the office phone to call for another vehicle. While the ladies and I waited for their men to return, I told them of how bad my life was messed up. One of the ladies told me she was a preacher from Houston and the Lord had stopped them so they could pray for me. I excepted Jesus into my life again.
Now I'm living in my newly built home with my youngest daughter and her 3 kids.
